Black is a color and Donatella Versace has proved yet again that it’s the most elegant one out there. But first, let us take you through the specially designed venue, where a big distorted V welcomed guests into what could only be described as a legendary show. In fact, the whole setup was synonymous with a big optical illusion that took show-goers and models alike into a spatial dimension of bold attitudes, sharp clothes and even sharper accessories.
So get this, the first few models had a sort of “men in black” vibe going on, what with the big black sunglasses and the black-on-black ensembles that allotted the right power and confidence to their already ablaze attitude. But soon enough came brighter pieces as Kaia Gerber made an appearance in a checkered red and black oversized blazer, while Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid sashayed in oversized bright-colored sweaters. The pieces were sporty-chic and recalled the House’s exuberant touch. There were graphic black and white dresses featuring the Virtus V in a distorted shape, paired with contrasting colorful accessories, and there were signs of excellent tailoring such as the House’s classic pinstripe suit – which was revisited with flashy colors and embellished with metallic accents. All in all, exquisitely Versace.
