A new page in the Paule Ka story has just been written, as the brand’s new creative director Alithia Spuri-Zampetti steps in. But just before unveiling the first Autumn-Winter 2016-17 Collection this March during Paris Fashion Week, she introduces us to the Capsule Collection, available for the very first time on the website of Moda operandi.
Indeed, with great taste and a unique eye for fashion, the newly appointed creative director reinterpreted the French house’s iconic style. Instead of sticking to its usual guns, the fashion house has taken a new innovative approach, all the while maintaining the uniqueness of the black and white combinations, the bold color mix, the graphic details, the ‘60s characteristics, the bow, the couture volumes, the trapeze dress and the dresses for every occasion that go from day to evening.
Let us guide you through the collection: the iconic bow has now turned into a tie, a fabric insert creating an optical illusion, or even an accent on accessories. The ruffle has now been embedded on a trapeze dress and introduced to a jacket or a bag handle for a simple injection of perk. Sewn-in borders and belt-cuts have taken on much graphic colors.
Paule Ka’s iconic staples are light, modern and now part of much bigger entities that are the rich fabrics of double-face satin duchesse, superfine habotai silk, Italian lace worked with encrusted selvedges and organza-like cotton.
The gemstone colors of cobalt, ruby and topaz blend in with the classic black and white, while the petal motif appears in diverse colors and materials range from daytime crepe to popeline, and nighttime silk to brocade.
“Respecting the heritage of the House of PAULE KA and with the support of its Parisian Atelier, I look forward to creating a contemporary wardrobe of classic and desirable daywear as well as more sophisticated pieces for special occasions. All in the price range that is the strength of PAULE KA,” said Alithia Spuri-Zampetti.
It is all part of a quintessential up-to-date stance, true to its bold feminine Parisian roots. Stay tuned as this capsule collection will soon invade the Paule Ka boutiques and some selected stores. In the meantime, why don’t you take sneak peek in the Photo Gallery.
