Prada Opens First Store in Jeddah

by Mirella Haddad

Prada opened its first store in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at the prestigious Boulevard Mall. After many projects for the brand in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and all across the Middle East, architect Roberto Biciocchi designed the one-story space that spreads over 335 square meters to display women’s and men’s collections of leather goods, accessories as well as footwear.

With a white metal curtain, light boxes and refined atmosphere, the boutique blends in the modern architecture of the mall. The store also features two entrances, one for men’s collections and one for women’s line.

The women’s area sees a display of leather goods and accessories collections in a space that features green fabric-clad walls and crystal tables, with white and black marble flooring and green velvet sofas. In addition to the same green fabric-clad walls and green velvet sofas, the footwear area includes cut-in alcoves for the display of the products. In a more masculine décor, the space devoted for men features Saint-Laurent marble flooring and ebony-clad walls with black metal display units.
